What is Overdubbing?

	Music technology has highly evolved since over 50 years ago, when a complete performance had to be captured in one go. Multitrack technology has changed the face of recording; in that each instrument / vocal can be recorded onto a new and separate track whilst listening back to already pre-recorded elements ...and this process is known as overdubbing.
	Pro Tools is both a professional and industry standard platform which has features specifically designed for overdubbing ...and we have this facility available here at Crystal Sound Studios.

Overdubbing Hints & Ideas

	Home based producers often use our facility to vocalise and finish their tracks professionally.
	Vocal-Overdubs are often recorded in one take; very much like a Karaoke performance over a backing track or previously recorded material ...are we putting ideas in your head yet?
	Both Professional and Semi-Professional singers, as well as Karaoke Kings and Queens, often use our expertise to facilitate their expansive ideas ...and we usually happily oblige.
	Please note that it is absolutely imperative that you immerse yourself and become familiar with the tune that you will be working with, in order to fulfil your vocal potential, range and thus maximise results.
	Remember also; to allow for warm-up takes.
	Vocals can also be layered as well as dropped in and out of a track as and when required or where appropriate.
	Correct timing, pitch and balance are paramount aspects in achieving the desired result.
